Reduce dampness in house

Job description

General Glazing
Waitakere

We need professional opinions as to the most effective way to reduce dampness in the back of our house in Titirangi. It is a 1973 Modulock (like a Lockwood but with the boards going vertically, and plywood on the outside). The aluminium windows are mostly the originals and appear to be letting moisture in, so that may be one place to focus. There is no ceiling space, so any air circulation solution would need to work with that - a false ceiling could be put in the hall which leads to all the rooms affected. The rooms are three bedrooms and a bathroom. We don't want a solution which involves making the bedrooms hot. The roof has been recently replaced and is now properly insulated, but we are not sure whether we need insulation in the walls and/or floors as well. We'd be looking for someone who can offer examples of other houses in a similar situation and area where they have made substantial improvements to the damp/moisture situation.
