Active job

Not even my jolly cat!

Job description

Dog & Cat Door Installation
Tauranga

Hi. The story: She's a very old cat (18). I am a 'resident' in a holiday camp - she is the "Camp Cat". Born here apparently. Some people have lived in this camp for over 20 years and swear she is that old. Her original owners are long gone. But she has done ok after being left behind. She has many names (some sweet some awful). She's quite wobbly now and clearly had a back injury years ago. But... she is smart and a pretty good scavenger. A survivor. I call her "Tui". She spent last winter at my place. She disappears in summer - getting meals/attention from the campers in tents. Occasional summer visits to me, hungry, if all the kiwifruit pickers who stay in tents are late home. It's getting cooler now so Tui has returned. Smart cat! But over the summer I installed a set of French Doors into my annex (cabin joined onto my caravan.) Tui can't come and go anymore. The job: I purchased a cheap cat door off Trademe. Installation is into a lower window of either one of the aluminium French doors or the solid aluminium window to the side - down low. I will need advice on the best spot please. So...the job is to install a cat door so Miss Tui can come and go...grab a meal at mine and hopefully sleep in my porch on cold wet winter nights. NB. I am not sure if I can teach her to use the cat door...it may have to remain open if she doesn't understand in her old age how to use a cat door or she may get frightened by the hit on her arthritis spine or sound of the swinging door bit going clack clack clack behind her. Who knows.?? In my book any animal that reaches out to a human -me- for a meal or shelter it is my responsibility to care. Provide food and a safe clean sleeping area. Your quote would need to be as cheap as possible please as I am retired, not made of money!, and as I said - Tui is "Not even my jolly cat!!" I just care. Cheers. Tracey.
