Leaking Windows

After the heavy rain this weekend - I have 2 windows (aluminium joinery with wooden sills) that were leaking. One is a bay window in the kitchen and the water was dripping from the top, where it is attached to the house. The other was dripping from under the window sill (bottom left corner) and running down the wall onto the floor. The wall paint now has a great big bubble full of water. These 2 windows are on the same wall. The gutter outside these windows was overflowing - even though they were cleaned only a few months ago. The windows are on the 2nd storey.
