Replacement window (Needing double glazing)
Job description
My house has just had a healthy homes inspection and the current window which is openable in one bedroom is too small (4% where it needs to be 5%). Due to needing a bigger openable window, we want to replace the entire window (1300mm high x 2000mm wide) with double glazing. This will need an openable portion of about 1m2. The current joinery is aluminium. The window is near the entrance to the house and therefore we would like considerations and possible pricing on tinting the windows - noting that double glazed windows appear slightly tinted from the outside relative to single (which might be enough) - if you don't do tinted windows, happy to take a quote regardless. We are open to different styles of window opening e.g. across the full horizontal, one vertical on the side. No immediate rush but ideally this would be completed in the next three weeks.
