Job description

Timber Windows
Christchurch

We are going to install double glazing but some windows and doors need repair to the frames and sills beforehand. Bedroom French doors: the doors have dry rot and need repair or replacement with new double glazed units. The sill is rotten and needs replacement. Some work to weatherboard cladding also needed. Living room bay window: dry rot and borer in one of the vertical parts of the window frame needs cut out and replacement. The sill is also rotten and I had bogged it as a temporary fix but it needs to be cut out and replaced with a new timber to act as flashing, or something like that? Would also consider quotes for double glazing if you are able to offer these. But I can also get hold of these separately if need be.

The job was done as a fill-in as we were not in too much of a hurry to get the work complete. Andrew was good at keeping us in the loop on progress and when he would be out. He went the extra mile in doing some little additions to the scope and the price for the extras was very reasonable, also keeping an eye on other contractors for us. He also used some interesting techniques in fixings some of our old french doors, with metal plate reinforcement.
