We are putting in a retaining wall outside and need three things done. 1. The main gas line is passing through the center of the retaining wall and we would like it to be turned off at the roadside - currently it will take the power company about a month to do this, and someone suggested that a gasfitter could do this for us? 2. We would like to convert our stove into one that runs off a 9kg LPG gas bottle. Currently this is the only thing running of the mains supply so would be great to get rid of this. 3. The is another pipe that goes through an area where the retaining wall will be and I am not sure what it is (think it as suggested that it could be an old coal gas pipe - sits at about 20cm below ground level)? Will need to get rid of that too if possible. FYI - trench for wall, and posts have been placed but nothing else at this stage.
