inspection of gas appliances

Hello, Having recently bought a house that included some gas appliances (heater, water heater, cooker), I'm not sure when these were last checked for safety. I would need a safety check of appliances/hoses from a certified gas fitter as well as advice on removing a very old and no longer used gas heater that still seems to be connected. Thanks
