We have a 1950s bungalow which we are redesigning to accommodate a new bathroom and bedroom. To make room for the new bathroom/bedroom, we plan to demolish an existing laundry and old out-house. This job will include the demolition work, along with the laying of a new foundation (concrete pad) to support the new rooms. We have been told by the architect and others that the new structure is not complex as it involves a simple lean-to. The entire house is single story and is of solid construction. The job will include the installation and fitting of a new gas powered water heater, so there'll be some gas fitting too! We're not particularly trade-savvy ourselves so we'd prefer someone who can help with managing the project and utilising other contractors as necessary. Ideally we want to start work in early January.
