Mains pressure water cylinder or gas

We have a low pressure cylinder and want to get better water pressure. The only options I can find would be to either upgrade to a mains pressure cylinder or switch to gas water heating. I would like an estimate for both options as well as a recommendation to which would be preferable? Our current cylinder is in good condition and is not old (can't remember but think it is between --- ). Please let me know if there is a trade in option for this as well. We have a wood fire place but not sure if there is the possibility of using a wet back as it is not close to the bathroom.
