Gas fitting - small jobs

Job description

Gasfitting
Hutt Valley

Hi, just after a couple of small jobs: 1. terminate connection at existing gas fireplace (Rinnai Arriva) - cap gas line e.g. - fireplace will be largely made easy to remove (just one screw left to hold into wall) - make safe gas line - disconnect fire place from gas - plug gas line with appropriate BSP/swage fitting. Current size TBC but is a copper gas line with swaged or equivalent fittings (i.e. look like swage but might be tor or w/e) - somewhere between 1/2 and 1/4" - test and confirm all good 2. insert tap in existing hob so can be removed at later date during electrical install - remove drawer(s) for access - make gas safe - tap into existing copper gas line (size TBC but looks to be between 1/2 and 1/4"). Connect a tap using appropriate method e.g. swage. - leave a plug to insert into end of tap when hob is removed later (along with a blob of any material used to seal if not just ptfe tape e.g. graphite grease). Alternative, if this is dodgy, then please also allow 1h to come in 1-2 months when hob removed and plug. (note, homeowner is an engineer who can plug a tap, but not if doing this is a registered activity...(don't know) - reinstate gas lines and test Timeframe is pretty much whenever - happy to fit in amongst another job if you can give me a couple hours notice e.g. "hey, I finished a job early so I have 2 hours this afternoon to do your job" or, "weather is crap tomorrow so can I come work inside for 2hrs or so?" - so long as the job is done within 4 weeks of registering? Otherwise propose alternative.
