Need gas capped for old heater

Hi, I have an old flued gas heater in my house I no longer use. It's just taking up space and we'd like to remove it, but will need to get the gas capped - preferably back where it splits off from the hot water, as we also use gas to heat our water. We can handle the removal of the heater itself, we just need someone to cap the gas.
