New Bathroom / New Piping / Rinnai Infinity Installation

Job description

Fireplace & Gas Heating
Hutt Valley

Most important - I need people to start immediately - on Monday (5th Dec) if possible but surely on Tuesday (6th Dec) In my schema of things, there is a big job required. This involves redoing the whole bathroom..! Taking the walls down and then putting up new walls in there...! Also given that there is a need to change all the dux quest piping, which is another related job I really want to get everything addressed in one go...! So I want someone who can do the following for me: 1. Renovate the bathroom completely (builder's job, but will also need a tiler). This includes separating the bath and the toilet (not sure if this is possible) 2. Remove the existing dux quest piping 3. Remove the Current Gas Hot Water Cylinder 4. Install a Rinnai Continuous Flow Hot Water System Points 2, 3 and 4 are for plulmbers and gasfrtters obviously! Thanks and Regards, NJ

I will start with the good things first - Tony has got a lot of good ideas. He is honest and hard working as well... But that is about it... Tony is not a man for big jobs - especially so if he is the only person contracted to do the job. He left my job half way - not something you want from tradesman doing your job. He swears at you - time and again. Even if you choose to ignore it, there is a certain limit to what a person can bear...! He promised me that the job was for around 40 hours and after spending 60 hours or so got frustrated about every small thing that was required on the job! The only reason was because he wanted to move on to the next job (which by the way he did- leaving my job half way) While he managed the "building" aspect of the bathroom alright, his workmanship at the "bathroom" job was less than average...! Having worked with Tony, I know that he will write loads back to me in his response to this feedback. However, if you want to avoid all risks and want peace of mind that you have given your job to someone reliable - Tony is NOT the man for you!!

"This guy is total theif. We had many agreements, many of which he broke and I was driving backwards and forewards getting supplies and waiting at hardware shops for nothing. DOING ONE LITTLE BATHROOM IS NOT A **BIG JOB** NJ. I have been responsible for many jobs, bathrooms included, and yours was the most tight arsed, dissorganised and outright painful jobs ever. I told you straight away the job would be sixty or seventy hours, but you refused to listen - And then you didn't even organise things as I told you, so I had to wait half a day for bathroom fixtures you said you had already bought --- And I had to go pick them up at my own expense! Unbelievable. You ended up paying me below minimum wage for the hours worked, and then you lie to BuilderCrack about how much money you've given me. You had rotting joists, rotting walls and kept changing your mind about what you wanted. I could see that you needed a scapegoat, but basically you made your own job so crap that people didn't even want to deal with you. Even the people at Mitre 10 mega started ringing me directly becuase they didn't want to deal with you (same with the plumber, tiler and plasterers by the way!) As for my workmanship being given a 1 out of five, you don't know what the hell you are on about. Honestly. You go try pay someone to remove a bathroom and start with New joists, new floor, new walls, tile underlay, plumbing, new walls, electricity cables, refitting venting, structural changes, large vent pipe removal, rehanging door and lock to change it from right to left opening... All done with you making changes and alterations all the time. Go ask for a quote - You'll find anyone will say seventy hours, just like I did. And then you'll try and convince yourself it can be done in fourty again no doubt. This guy (NJ) even tried telling me a was a thief becuase I used nine sheets of aqualine jib in his bathroom @ $50 a sheet. He then has told BuildersCrack he paid me $1500 when this included materials and I was only working on a labour basis. At the end of the day the shower had parts missing and you cannot install a shower with parts missing. I drove in and out three times to install shower, in the end he said "look, I am sick of your bullshit, just fuck off" when I told him the shower still couldn't be put in. So I left... Simple as that. He then rang twenty times in the next few horus to get me back apologising. I am better off without people like this. I did not leave "half way through a big job". I left at the end of a small bathroom that the owner tried to micro-manage but doesn't know what he is doing and kept trying to tell professionals how to do their jobs. He even told the plaster to do the ceilings, when the plasterers bosses had done the quote and the ceilings weren't on it. The boss had told the plaster NOT TO DO THE CIELINGS - I was even there when he said it. And then NJ turns around and tells the plasterer that he had okayed it with the boss.... Which he hadn't. NJ told me he was too broke to pay, so I accepted very little money in order to get anything at all. I then went back to pick up my ladder and saw a brand new plumbing install and other stuff that leads me to believe he was not broke and could have paid me more than $7 an hour after all. Complete waste of my time and money and petrol."
