We should have asked for a quote. He was there for less than half an hour but the cost was over $400 because he charged us extra for a new gas certificate which was also pricey for the time required.

It’s important to remember when you engage a trade that you aren’t necessarily paying for the half hour the jobs actually takes but in fact in my case, 22 years of experience and the qualification to do the job plus the know how. It’s very important to get gas work right which is why we have to stay up to date with our registrations ect. There is a lot more to a job than the actual time spent onsite."
