Diesel fire place - service/repair

I have a woodsman diesel fire place in my house. I have plenty of diesel but the fire isn't working - it ignites but doesn't stay on. It was working fine in December 2013 but has had 2 months of inactivity. The diesel tank is located outside and has about 10m to travel to the fire.
