Broken cable for recliner #2

The cable has broken from the lever, on our ‘lazy boy’ style chair. It is a leather chair as per image 3 and is operated by the lever in image 2. The 1st image shows the lever that has become disconnected from the cable. We can see where it should be attached but trying to photograph from below is difficult. Hope someone can help because this is part of a very comfortable 3 piece lounge suite.
