Save the Lazy Boys!

We have a couple of Lazy Boy armchairs that are in desperate need of some TLC. One has a broken footrest, as in the board of the footrest is broken in half inside the upholstery. Both have issues with the mechanics operating the footrests. For example, one seems to have some bent frame or some such that makes the footrest lower on one side than the other when pulled up.
