Looking for someone to inspect piles, due to issues found in building inspection; 'Foundation Type This house sits on a mixture of foundation types with the newer rear addition having a concrete slab floor. The remaining portion of the house has seen some upgrading to concrete piles however the majority of the house is still supported on the original Totara (native timber) piles. Although the timber piles above ground are sound, they will have likely rotted away below ground. It is generally accepted that the Totara piles of this age will not be offering much structural support and are due to be replaced with new piles.'
