We have a 1925 railway cottage that is approximately 90 sqm and has been re-piled with concrete except for approximately 19 sqm at the rear of the house which still has original wooden piles and some concrete piles. Part of this 19 sqm is an addition of approximately 5.5 sqm that was built in 1996. This extension has only wooden piles but the floor is level here. The remaining 13.5 sqm is where the problem seems to be as the floor is uneven here. This area is where the bathroom and laundry are situated. The gap between the flooring and the ground is minimal.
