Our hot water cylinder has leaked and flooded the surrounding chip board suddenly over the last 2 weeks. The hot water cylinder has been replaced, however as the chip board is soaked it has become unstable. We require a full assessment of the damage, with replacement of the affected chip board panel in our hallway (approx 1m x1m). A second panel has been affected in the adjoining bedroom and this will need to be sanded flat, or also replaced. On provisional assessment the underfloor support structures are not affected and the walls are dry. We would however need a replacement underfloor metal film. Some skill will be required replacing the chip board around the pipes below the new water cylinder. If possible, the underfloor inlay and carpets need to be relayed- however this is not as urgent and could be a separate job. This work is covered by a gradual damage claim under insurance. The work needs to be completed as soon as possible, ideally by Sunday 15 December.

We were really happy with Damian's work on a difficult job requiring full replacement of extensively damaged chip board from a leaking hot water cyclinder. Communication with Damian was very easy right from the start. We particularly appreciated him noticing that the new cylinder had a very small leak, which we were able to fix before it became a problem. I would definitely recommend Damian to others, and will look forward to using him again.

"Thank you for the opportunity to do this work for you, It was a bit tricky replacing the floor between the bottom plates and joists without removing or damaging the skirting or walls. but the challenge was worth it in the end. I'm glad it turned out as well as it did and those leaks were sealed off quickly.
Have a great Christmas and an even better new year.
thanks ,
Damian ."
