Damaged floor repairs

Water damaged timber floor beneath carpet needs to replaced (about 1m2 outside hot water cylinder cupboard). Flooring is likely to be a composite wood as it is currently spongy to stand on. There are also some large dents in the floor in the lounge left behind from a heavy claw foot sofa the previous owners had that I would like to get fixed. Looking to have this done before the new carpet gets laid throughout in early - mid Feb.
