We have a situation where we have old lino that has been previously layed on concrete. This old vinyl has tested positive for asbestos. We have just had a quote to remove it for $10000. Considering the whole budget for the vinyl and laying of it is only $6000 this is just not going to be able to happen. Online articles i have read say it is possible to lay over it though? But the flooring people we are dealing with say no.
