Tidying up an old bathroom and wash house

Hi guys, I need vinyl flooring in my bathroom and washhouse. Due to the state of the floors in both rooms (and the fact that i'm looking to tidy the place up to sell very soon) I want loose fit lay the new vinyl over the existing vinyl. I have been told this can be done, but some of the flooring companies I have contacted have not been interested in doing this for me. cheers Chris
