Small tiled border needed on kitchen floor

We need some help adding some vinyl tiles/planks to our kitchen floor after a reno. Our new kitchen doesn't quite fit with our existing vinyl flooring, and we aren't able to replace to the floor itself (our floor pattern isn't made anymore, and we don't have time to lay down new floor). So we are looking to put down a small border of vinyl tiles/planks to cover the gap. We'd love some advice about how to go about this. Ideally looking to get this done ASAP, in the next week or so.
