Changing a section of fence

I'm about to paint my fence but before I do I want to change a section of fence to match the rest of the fence. Once upon a time there was a garage in the way so they built the fence as best they could. That garage is now gone and that section of fence now looks weird. I want to change a 9m section of fence to be alternating boards. I also want it to be the same height as the taller fence and taper along to where it intersects another fence (hopefully the pics give to a better idea what I'm trying to say). I expect this will involve replacing 2-3 posts. I also want a redundant post removed.
