Hi there, planning to get the fences and gates replaced for safety reasons. Picture 1 shows old fencing + pedestrian gate for replacement. Total length about 17m. Picture 2 shows manual driveway gate (to replace) Picture 3 shows post and rail fence connected to gate. Wanted to see if there's any possibility in keeping the post and rail fence and extending its height and covering the gaps in between (possibly with horizontal battens?). Otherwise, if cheaper - cost to replace. Total length of side fence & driveway gate combined is about 18.5m Would like to discuss cost-effective options as this is quite a sudden decision for us, but unfortunately the current height makes it desirable for tresspassing and we're starting to feel unsafe. Looking at unstained timber, vertical with gaps (to make it a less desirable for tagging), pointed tops if possible. Between 1.5 - 1.8m high (would like to see cost comparison to make our decision). Attached are some reference pictures. Thank you in advance.
