Job description

Metal Fencing & Gates
Queenstown Lakes

We have a pair of 4 metre high metal entrance gates (extremely heavy i.e. manually unmovable), attached to gateposts. They need bringing down. Right gate’s lower hinge has rusted. It blew off its lower hinge 10 days ago, during extreme wind. We reckon the only way to get both gates down flat onto ground (without a crane) is to cut them up into 8 smaller pieces (with, say an axle-grinder). With regards removal off-site, we have storage space to keep the scrap metal, so no need to quote for removal. Alternatively, if you wish to take metal away & sell for scrap/keep for yourself, then you're welcome to do so, at your own expense. If you wish to organise a crane & truck to take away both gates entirely intact (i.e. not cut them up first), then we would just pay you the equivalent cost for simply cutting them up. We won’t pay for your crane & truck hire, and you get the gates to sell/use afterward as you wish. If you’re willing to take away the gates entirely for free, then we can also offer you the gateposts & the pair of pedestrian gates that come with them, as a package deal i.e. 2 main gates (1 damaged), 2 gate posts (1 damaged), 2 pedestrian gates (both undamaged). There are also 2 identical gate posts at the service entrance, should you wish. Option A) If you just want to cut-up gates, quote for following: cost to cut-up 2 main gates into 8 sections cost to cut-up 2 main gateposts into 4 sections Option B) If you want to cut up gates & keep scrap metal yourself, quote for: cost to chop up both main large entrance gates into 8 sections Option C) If you want package deal i.e. handle all removal off-site yourself, gratis, then no need to quote for items 1) & 2) above. Just let us know what date you can remove in next 10 days. Weekends or after hours (between 1800H~2100H), ok.
