Pole holding gate

I have a very large double wooden gate in my fencing. Because it is so large, it should have supports underneath and because it didn't, the supporting pole on one side of the gate has split. This means no support. At the moment the gates need to be tied up to prevent them falling down. I don't mind at all if it is cheaper and easier to just eliminate the gate and using the current planks, we can just turn the gap into more fencing. We have a large Swiss Shepherd on the property so fixing this is a priority. I also need 3 planks replaced down one side of the house, that have become rotten over time. And, the capping of the fence in one area is all bowed and needs fixing please. In a nutshell, I am looking for the cheapest option of making the fence look better. I need to prepare it for market. Another little job is to fix the bottom corner of my weather board house, it started with cracks, and eventually all the rot was scraped out and bogged, then the dog ate it so we are back to square one :( I will post photos later (when I figure out how to upload them to my laptop).
