I'm moving back to a small property I own in Auckland, and am bringing two big dogs with me, so the front area needs to be fenced so they have the maximum amount of space. It's about containment not privacy, and the dogs need to be able to see through it as that helps stop the guard dog from barking. I am looking for the cheapest option that meets the need + looks okay. I had metal fencing in my head (I've attached a pic of the sort of fence I was thinking) ie easy to see through, looks nice; but I don't know if this is the best/cheapest option. It'll need to be 1500mm+ height so they can't jump over when they spot a cat... and go from the boundary fence to the house. It will need a gate where the concrete path is. Have attached a pic of the house. The fence wants to go right at the edge of where the grass hits the driveway. If it is possible for it to sit just on the concrete side that would be ideal for mowing purposes... but you'll need to advise if that is possible. I'm not sure how big the feijoa tree is now, but it can either poke through the fence if it's the metal style fence, or be pruned at the fence side as needed to accommodate a different type of fencing if there is a better/lower cost option. I'm expecting to arrive on 13th April, and the tenants are likely to move out a week prior, so it would be amazing if it could be done in that period.
