Manual or automated gates for driveway.

My neighbour and I want to erect gates at the top of the driveway to our properties (which share a driveway). The gates are to for security, privacy and to stop people from parking on our property. The sites is sloping, so I'd assume that it would suit sliding gate rather than a swing gate. We'd prefer automated gates but (due to the likely cost) would also like to consider manual gates. I'm working from home so am available to meet this week and the next at the site for quotations.
