Fence repair - wooden posts and rails with corrugated iron

Job image

Job description

Timber Fencing & Gates
Manawatu

We are hoping that a qualified builder can provide a quote, and some advice, regarding repairing a residential boundary fence that was damaged due to a high wind event snapping the posts. The section of damaged fence is approximately 18m long with wooden posts (approx. 2450mm centres), 2 wooden 100x50 rails, and metal capped corrugated iron attached vertically to a height of approx 1880mm. Our neighbour wants to keep costs to a minimum and would prefer replacement of posts and rails and then to reuse the old corrugated iron. Where we also need some advice is that along the fence line there is a soil height difference of up to approximately 200mm at places and we are unsure of the most appropriate method (possibly retaining timber?) to address this. There is a further 7m or so of fence that is still in place where we would like to continue this soil retaining. The photo shows a section under our carport where we have added freestanding privacy screening. We also have another building job posted.
