• Design & build a replacement front fence • Design shall be contemporary • Construction shall be of low maintenance materials • Design life of a minimum of 25 years • Preserve & incorporate the existing nest of mailbox’s (where cost effective/possible) • Preserve & incorporate the existing Eastbourne Mews signage • Basic measurements are 28m long by 1.6m high • Painted finish (to be agreed with EBMBC) • Demolition and removal from site of the existing fence • Reinstatement of footpath or garden area at conclusion of fence construction • Timing of works ideally late 2021 or 2022 but happy to work with parties A full scope of work document is available from the writer - which contains pictures of the existing fence. Interested parties should provide the following information with their tender: Provide a priced proposal that details as a minimum: • The proposed fence materials or options • Proposed fence design (or options) incl the mailbox’s & signage • Detail the finish to the fence to match the existing finish of the Eastbourne Mews • Detail the warranty for the workmanship & materials being offered • Terms & conditions applicable for the proposed works • Pricing inclusive of GST • Timeline for works Timeline to decision: EBMBC will assemble the proposals during September/October 2021 and will use an independent consulting engineer to advise EBMBC on the proposals. Once the review is complete & any consultation has been completed with the various funding parties, we’re looking to make a final decision in early October 2021.
