New front fence and gate
Job description
Our front fence and gate is in a sorry state and is in sore need of being replaced. Currently there is a tall rickety wooden fence across about 80% of the front of the section, the remainder is chicken wire. (There were 2 large trees in that region that have been cut down). The current gate is similar - tall, wooden, and rickety. We would like the current fence/gate removed. In its place we would like a tall (probably 1.8m) wooden fence along the front of our section. It wouldn't need painting/staining as we would intend to do that aspect ourselves. For the gate, we would prefer a metal/aluminum one the same height as the fence. Ideally one that can slide behind the fence on opening. We are happy with a manual gate (ie not electric/automatic). If possible, we would like the fence built slightly nearer to the street than it is currently (to put our front fence in line with the neighbours) I can show you an example of the type of fence/gate we think we would like a few houses down our street. We are very open to input regarding other ideas/recommendations (including related aspects such as what to do with the letterbox) There are no important timeframes/deadlines, though I definitely want the fence/gate sorted before the end of winter. From the first site visit (to discuss the fence and gate plans and get a quote) we felt in such good hands. Chris was fantastic at understanding my vision, providing advice on how to achieve this, excellent communication throughout, and we are so chuffed with the end result!
