Fence
Job description
We need a new fence constructed along the border of our property, approx 21m long. Essentially we want a farm style fence ( #8 wire, though depending on total job price we would obviously rather use boating cable!), but with nice posts and the cables need to be about 15cm apart. The ground is clay, so particularly hard to dig without a post digger. The ground is not flat, and we are happy to use some metal poles (have been told they're called warratahs?) in place of some of the bigger posts. Our property overlooks a reserve so we don't want to lose the view, but there is a flood control channel immediately beside us and we need to stop toddlers from just wandering away, so the vertical gap between the cables needs to be small enough that little ones can't just climb through... I do realise that bigger kids will be able to climb over the fence but that's not so much of a concern. **NOTE** We will also be getting a large block & plaster fence for the front of our property in the next few months, so if we're happy with the result of this job we would more than likely use the same person for the next one as well! **

Great job, fence looks exactly as I wanted. Extra credit goes to Evan because the posts were concreted in on the day of the June 13 earthquake, and he came back that evening with a spirit level to check the posts hadn't moved. Thanks!
