I need a test pit excavated in a flat site in South Wellington that looks to have easy road access. The pit would be looking for any sign of a fuel tank that is shown on a plan of the site... dated 1922! The site has subsequently had a chequered history including more recent use as a 'P lab' - you must be able to follow instructions for working on a low level contaminated site, including cleaning the digger before and after work. You will be supervised by a contaminated land specialist (me) equipped with a hydrocarbon vapour detector. I will arrange for specialist underground service clearance before you dig.
