Sunshade sail post hole digging

I need1.2m length and 300mm diameter single hole for sunshade sail post in my back yard. The soil is quite hard in my yard which makes it almost impossible for me to dig with the spade hence the work would require a power tool to dig. The place where the hole is required is about 40cm away from the fence post as per the attached photo.
