Fill small sinkhole

Last year during heavy rain a small (1m x 1m on the surface, full length underground 1.7m) appeared in front of our house. The hole is right next to one of the piles for our 3m high deck, which is the main entrance to our house, so we want to get it filled properly rather than doing a less proper job ourselves. Through our insurance company we obtained a geotech report stating that the hole and deck are stable, with recommendations for how it should be filled. Can provide the report to anyone interested in doing the job. It should be a pretty simple job, just fill and compact, we just want to make sure it is done carefully so our deck doesn't collapse!
