Am considering buying a site in Mt Eden. It has a lot of rock. My builder and architect estimate a 1m cut into rock. Plus an additional 300 for footings. The site is not steep, but the max sized machine you can get in to the site is 12 tonne excavator down ROW.b Essentially, I want to know what it would cost to take out 170 tonne of rock, and dump. Obviously this is an estimate based on not seeing the site, but I want to run my numbers, to see if I can buy the site to build. Even if you give me a day rate for a breaker and operator, plus another digger and operator. and dumping fees, I can do a feasability on the site. Are there any blowout costs on a job like this?
