Job description

Extractor Fans
Wellington

We have a one bedroom apartment next door that we need to get up to regs for the health homes assessment. There is currently a slimline extractor that doesn't vent outside and we need to install a new one that vents through the external wall which is concrete. In short I think we're looking at: - installing new rangehood removing old hood - potentially shifting plug over behind new hood inside cowling & blank off old plug location - duct new hood to outside via 160mm diameter hole above new hood & fit outside cowl. I've been having a look at a few options and found the following as potential replacements for the current range hood. Both look to be healthy homes compliant, can be externally ducted and are slimline so should fit in the space ok and I was hoping to get your advice and a quote. 1. Robinhood Slimline Wall Canopy Rangehood 60cm Stainless Steel - price looks ok although seems would also need to buy the ducting kit too. I can't really get a sense for what the ducting kit will look like from the mitre 10 web site but suspect it would look like a stainless steel pipe coming out of the top and into the wall - not as pretty as having cowling though 2. VOGUE Slimline Rangehood 60cm - again, ducting not included and is 120mm so not sure what ducting kit to use here We would need a concrete cutter also to make the hole - access is not a problem and can get to it via the flat roof - see photos. Would appreciate your thoughts on the above and any other recommendations you might have. I hope this gives you enough information to go on as a start and happy to show you around whenever you have some time to view it onsite. thanks

Adam was on time and completed the extractor fan install on schedule, tidied up really well after the work was done and was very helpful in explaining the operation of the new fan. The cost was within the estimate and comms were excellent - won't hesitate to recommend Raine electrical again - thanks!
