Electrical repair -- table lamp and floor lamp

Table lamp flickers and does not stay lit, would like it repaired. Floor lamp is an antique and takes a mogul based light bulb, which used to be available at The Light bulb Man -- but can no longer get them. It does not work with multiple setting light bulbs. Can the bulb fixture be changed to take readily available light bulbs?
