Bathroom electrics

Job description

Electrical Renovations
Wellington

Our bathroom has a combined light, heat and extractor installed in the ceiling. Everything about it is wrong: it's in the wrong place to light the room properly; the infra-red lamps flood the room with light but add little heat (and cost a fortune to run!) and the extractor makes a great deal of noise for no discernible result. The plan is to install a new extractor directly through an outside wall; install four LED downlights in appropriate places in the ceiling; install a new mirror with LED lights and electric shaver point (and shelf if possible); rework the switches to match the new layout. The combined light-and-noise unit is to be electrically disconnected and made safe so that it can be easily removed and the hole made good when we get the ceiling artexed. The room has a radiator connected to the central heating system, so no electrical heating is required. The budget is limited so we might have to rethink the mirror if it proves too pricey
