Install timer on hot water cylinder

I would like a timer installed on my hot water cylinder so it only heats during the night. I don't have a day/night meter installed and getting one installed is apparently very expensive. However I'm with Flick and pay spot rates, so would still save money if my HWC only came on at night. Open to electrical or mechanical timer, either in the cupboard or in the fuse box. Photos attached.
