Extend and reroute cables around exposed ceiling joist

I'm looking to cut, add a junction box or two and extend these wires (pictured) around the joist and top plate directly above them, it's not visible in the picture but there is plenty of space under the roof to put them and the access is very good with all the GIB currently off the ceilings and both walls. I can't imagine it will be a big job and would have tried myself (shock horror) except for that big conduit you can see looks a little bit sketchy for me to be playing with, might be high current for the hot water or stove or something like that. If the price is too high to re route the cable I might just box around it with a bit of GIB and hide it in the back of a cupboard, but if it's not too pricy it would make the GIB easier to reinstall so I would get it done. Let me know what you think.
