Swap old hot cylinder switch to modern one and check/ replace cable if needed

Just had a new hot water cylinder installed. Apparently the isolation switch is to old (1970's house) and needs replacing and maybe the wire. Have had a quote and essentially as it seem like a basic job, but needs doing today for a hot shower I am offering up $180 for a certified job including all the parts required. (Power board is within 1.5 meters of the hot water cylinder switch
