Instal RCD outlet

Posted 2 months ago

Install RCD outlet plug, (supplied), in bathroom. Plug to be used for bidet . This outlet will be almost directly behind, and a little above an existing outlet in the adjoining bedroom. Also a test of the household circuits re safety, as this has not been done since we bought the house. Also some advice re whether the RCD should be installed at the switchboard, thus giving protection for the whole house. The house is around 20 years old, and in Bell Block

Rental purchase - extraction required

Posted 3 months ago

We're buying a rental investment property on 28 June. The building report advised that we need to add extraction to the bathroom and kitchen to comply with landlord obligations. Looks like we might have to go through a brick wall, but I'm just not sure, perhaps there's a way to come out through the soffit. Not sure if I'll need a builder to do that, but assume I'll at least need an electrician to get it wi...

Bathroom has no installed extractor fan at present. We would need a quiet fan installed above the shower. There is nearby roof-space access, and easy roof access. An active decision has been made to install not into the soffit. We would need to keep costs low - so we'd want the fan wired up to one of the two existing light switches. The contractor will determine and source all parts - and we will approve them (cost, and also how the internal fitting looks). We would need the solution to keep...
