Hello all Nelson Sparkies, how's it going? I want to install a timer, so that my hot water cylinder runs only during night time with lower electricity cost. I want to be able to easily turn off the timer and set to always on, in times of need for hot water. The HWC is on a controlled circuit, so I'm aware that there's also the ripple controlled potential shutoff during peak hours. I think the installation is easy, as there's space and the hot water circuit is close. I want to know the cost of this so that I can calculate the amortisation. There are two potential locations for the timer: 1) there's a breaker near the meter 2) there's a breaker in the main fuse box Cheers, J.
