Water leak may have effected my light fitting! ?

I had a leak (concealed guttering pushed water into my ceiling). The ceiling has been repaired, but I'd like a qualified electrician to come and check the light fitting, before anyone turns it on. I would appreciate someone coming out in the next week! Please!! :) I live in Wainuioru, 18 minutes outside Masterton!
