Help with changing downlight

Hi, We are seeking assistance with changing a number of down lights in our home (having never had them before). We’ve tried to buy replacements but the connection does not appear to be the same and it doesn’t seem possible to replace the whole kit (as the whole thing doesn’t pull down from the inside the ceiling). Thanks.
