We renovated our lounge recently. Have a new gib ceiling and need to re hang our ceiling fan in the centre. New ceiling framing does not include 2x4 in the spot we need to attach the fan. I attempted to attach 2 pieces of 2x4 in the ceiling, but realised it was beyond my skills. Both pieces are sitting loosely in place, but have minimal nails holding them in and have no brackets to provide strength. What I am after is someone to finish attaching the 2x4s, or remove them carefully and do it your own preferred way and then attach the ceiling fan. This is probably not a big job, so happy just to have tradesman come and complete-(won't expect you come by and quote first).
