Partial Rewire and Upgrade of Electrics

The house we are purchasing has some old cloth sheaved wires and ceramic fuses. Would like to have these replaced and some extra double sockets put in. House is a 3 Bed approximately 124 m, 1938 Brick and Weatherboard. I would estimate 6 or 7 extra sockets. There look to be 8 Ceramic fuses on the board, I am not sure how many of these are still using the old wire (I would assume all 8). Inspection and work can't start until the week of the 11th of September, but we would like it doing ASAP after this. A rough estimate and availability would be great to start with.
