Range-hood extractor fan needs to vent outside instead of inside roof

Currently our range hood extractor fan vents into the roof space. We want it vented outside. I have attached a couple of pics to show where the fan currently vents to and that roof has large eaves where the vent would be best to go I would imagine (by the kitchen though).
